A song on the radio. I have KLOVE on in the Living Room and I can hear it.

Legacy by Greg Bear. It's a Sci-Fi that is rather interesting. It's about a guy who is sent to infiltrate a colony on a planet with a totally different ecosystem. It's rather impressive, 'cause the author had to create an entire new world and everything that goes into it...

Reading in Genesis lately. I just finished reading about the distruction of Sodom and Gommorah and how Lot went out and tried to talk his sons-in-law (present tense) into leaving the city. What really struck me was that these were men engaged or betrothed at the time. But the wording is in present tense. Makes me think that God views engagements pretty seriously. Of course that is taking it rather out of context, but it does make one think. Now that was in NASB. Now what does it say in KJV? Hmmm... Little bit of a difference... But it still stresses that the daughters were virgins, and the culture did have the wedding night consumation... Very interesting.

Varing between tired and a little bit happy. Tired because I've had late nights and early mornings; happy because I actually have been doing devotions the last couple of days and that a week from tomorrow I'll be done with work!

Saturday, a day that is supposed to be spent sleeping in and relaxing. Not for me. I don't know if I'll ever have a lazy Saturday again... I've worked pretty much every Saturday since October, and the ones I've missed have been either recovering from a certain eye surgery or doing something away from home. Oh well. Besides the fact that I miss my lazy Saturdays, tomorrow will be interesting. We have been shorthanded the last couple Saturdays so the call volume has been higher. It used to be that Saturday was kinda a slow day. It is not that way now... :( I'm kept pretty busy. *DING* "Thank you for calling MSN Broadband Technical Support. My name is John, badge number 22261. May I have your MSN email address or home telephone number, please?" Sometimes I wonder if I'll answer my home phone that way. I've already tried to log onto YIM with my work user name... *grins*
Well, I've rambled enough. got to go take the contact out and read my book!
BTW, Lyssa, Fairfield is in Idaho. Pretty common name for a town. There's one in Montana and I think in Washington. And now you have informed me that there's one in Illinois. Quite interesting...
