And the fans go crazy....
Okay, maybe not, but I can hope, can't I? I have returned from the muggy south! 10 days of humid heat. Actually, it wasn't as hot as it usually is down there 'cause a front had come in and dropped the temp down. It was quite humid though, and I was sticky! I was sure glad that I had shorts!
Let's see... I probably should start at the beginning... That'd be august 9th, when I drove down to Emmett and stayed with some friends there. It was cool, 'cause we knew them about 8 years ago when we lived in Emmett and I am old enough now to actually hold a good convo.
The next morning I drove into Boise and parked my car in short term parking. See, we had arranged it for relatives to pick it up that day and take it to Fairfield. Turned out that my parents were coming home from a job interview that day and stopped by, with my uncle and aunt, to see me off! That was pretty cool. I got to see my two cousins, josiah and daniel! heh. they were cool.
I enjoyed my flights. There's just something about seeing the world from the air that gets me. I arrived a little bit early and walked right past the Samuel and Anna. *grins* See I thought they had to stay by the baggage claim. Turns out it's just a little before that where people wait.
It was so cool to see Bonnie, Samuel, and Anna. They were a sight for my friend-deprived eyes! We left the terminal, and I was hit with the humity and the heat! wow! Turns out that it had thunderstormed that day and that's why there was all that humity. However, it didn't change all that much.
We arrived at the house and Caleb couldn't wait until I got out of the car. He threw himself through the open door and hugged me!! That was a great welcome!
Gee.. We did so much during those 10 days...
Samuel and I had a few deep talks when we could do it without little ears listening to us. It was a blast for both of us, 'cause we don't get to indulge in that sort of thing. The best conversation was on the 19th when Anna, Samuel, Mrs. B. and I, talked about several different topics. We covered worship, a little bit of SPirit-filled doctrine, and a couple other topics. Very cool.
Bowling, pizza-eating, and mall walking, were all done on one day... Samuel won the bowling. :( I didn't do so good. Pizza Hut received us well. We had some coupons for personal pan pizza for the kids and Bonnie, Samuel and I, had a large pizza! YUM! The mall walking was fun too. We got Ice Cream and walked those halls of merchandise.
One other thing we did was go to K19. Man, that was a good movie. Anna didn't like it 'cause it was sad, but I don't mind that sort of movie. It was intense, but not as intense as the Hunt for The Red October. Reason being is that the sub wasn't being chased. The problem in this movie was that the nuculer plant was dying. Very intense. Harrison Ford does a great job, though!
So I did things and enjoyed having my second family around. I was basically a B and they treated me as a big brother. Gives my warm fuzzies!
Flew back up to Boise where Grandma and Great-aunt and uncle Krahn were waiting. They drove me home to Fairfield and I stayed from the 20th to the 23rd. Got to visit with relatives and play with Lemuel and Bronwyn. (my other two cousins) I then drove the 6 hour drive up here on the 23rd.
So I'm home and ready to start working on getting ready for college. I'll post more on that later.
