Life has been rather interesting of late... But first a rant/computer talk:

Well, I'm mad at a computer! Dad's computer crashed today. It came up with a "Lucomserver has caused an error in Lucomserver.exe" error message on start up. close that out and all we have is the wallpaper. Bah. Two non important files running in the background. So I do a search for that lucom file and discover two articles on Symantec saying that it can get infected by viruses. I try to find those viruses (finally figured out how to scan the computer from my bro's computer) and nothing. After messing with it for a few hours, we try to do a system restore by editing the system.ini file to pull up progman.exe at boot. get that up and Launching System Restore brings up a window with white where the graphics (ie:buttons, etc.) should be. Grrrr!! So we got the files backed up over the network and a system reformat and reload is in store. I hate resorting to that... Oh well...

[/end tech talk]

Okay, that's out of my system. Now on to the more interesting things... We just had company for 4 nights. My Dad's brother came up with his family for a visit. This isn't the ones I visited in Fairfield, though Herb and Gill are staying with Grandma. This brother is the one who's with YWAM and is preparing to go to south africa next year. Anyways, they had been spending time with friends and came by on the return trip.

It was a blast to see them. We don't get to see them very often and I was very glad that they were able to see me before college. I may not see them for two or three years. :(

Speaking of college, my Uncle is buying a new laptop and is going to give me his old one! Whoopeee!! It's an old machine, but I just need it for word prcessing and taking notes, so it'll do until I can replace my desktop with a top of the line laptop! Thank you much, Uncle!

Been preparing for college lately. I've got a corner of the spare room piled up with dorm stuff. It's going to be quite interesting getting all that into the car and into the dorm room... The worst part about it is cutting down on my books. I'm only taking 5 or 6 books that I have wanted to read for a long time and... get this.. I'm having to leave Lord of the Rings home! *sobs* it's awful!

well, this is the 4th night in a row that I've stayed up too late and with a sore throat besides! So I must say adieu and go to sleep on my own bed! *grins*
