[...Another cool article...]

Well, I got the draft for the 12 page paper done for peer review. 9 pages. Now to rewritie it and make it a little more interesting. But I also have a draft that I didn't get turned in when it was due and multiple weeks have passed. I ask Miss. P. if I'd get anything on it if I turned it in on Friday and she said "a little bit." Well, at least that's better than nothing. Now to get aht written... Papers... ugh.

Well, they had honors assembly today. We had our classes beforehand and then got to watch as different people received rewards and scholarships. I ended up getting one! 750 from the Shooman foundation or something like that. PTL that's going to help.

listening to: The Celt (a friend of mine here is a rapper, and to my surprise I actually like it.)
Feeling: Buzzed.
Drinking: Nothing at the moment, though I'm going to gulp some strong, cold, coffee in a moment
Wearing: Undershirt, khaki cords, white sneakers
Going to do in a few minutes: Change in to shorts and go clean the laundry rooom. Then I have Learning Skills at 2.
Wanting to do: Sleep or homework. Not sure which will win out

Just got back from watching LOTR:Two Towers for the second time... I think, might be third. I'm still mad at how they messed up Faramir's character. They make him too hard to like. I hope they redeem him in the last one... I was with Kevin I. (read the books) and Josh L. (hasn't read the books) and I so wanted to talk about the Return of the King! So we were sidestepping the plots and hinting at what was going to happen. It was funny.
I think I've discovered what I am going to read this summer! *grins* Hopefully I'll pick up the other books as well.

Bah. I just did the worst I've ever done on a test and I know why... Sleep and more time were needed for this test. There was too much material to cover in a day like I did. So I got to the test and lost it all. I wouldn't be surprised if I flunked the test. It won't hurt my grade too much 'cause I got A's on the last two, but I need to get A's on the next two!!

I've had this blogger service for a year. tis hard to imagine that it's been so long ago that I first set this up. Wow... Anyways, I was looking through last years stuff and found a post about friends that I hadn't heard from. Here's the original and then what I've learned since then.

Josh I haven't talked to in almost a year...

One of the first people I called when I got to college was Josh W. He seemed to be doing okay, recovering from a relationship and going to college. That was in October, so I don't know how he's doing now...


Ryan hasn't talked to me in over a year.

Still haven't talked to him, but I did track down his cell. Now I just need to call him.

John emailed me alittle bit ago and I need to reply to him.

Hmmmm.... I don't know if I did, but we've had a bit of contact since then... in fact I think I may be calling him tonight...

Kris has dissappeared off the face of the Net (wonder if I can track her down...)

I somehow got her number last July and talked to her for awhile. Unfortunately that was the last time I heard from her. Wonder how she's doing...

Nika... I really wonder how she's doing. She was rather down last time I talked to her.

There's one who I haven't been able to talk to. Lost her email and even if I had it, I wonder if I'll be able to get a correspondence going...

So, yeah, some people I've talked to, but most I still haven't heard from. I'm hoping that life is going good for all of them and that they are all following Christ to the ends of the earth.

Sometimes I wonder.... What makes me the person I am? Why do I seem to be the listener, the encourager, the initiater, in most of my friendships? I used to be rather peeved that I always took those positions in friendships and no one seemed to do the same to me. Now I'm discovering that it's God who made me this way and He lets me do these things in order to edify people to Him. It's quite interesting to realize this and even freeing.

Hey, I'm online in my room at midnight! Yay! I went ahead and paid for a month of internet access 'cause with all th stuff I'm doing, I need to be able to research at these late hours. So thus I'm connected now.

Sometimes I wonder just how close I am to God. Of course I am just coming out of a pretty bad week and a half 'cause of my sickness, but I feel like there's some sort of blockage. Kinda strange, maybe it has to do with my stress and being overwhelmed? Hmmmm... I'm thinking I'm going to need to take some time off soon and just go pray. Might be a solution to my problems... *grins*
