As Samuel would say... Hello all my darling fans!

Overview of my life:

  • Work - I think the honeymoon is over. It's no longer fun to work there. Don't ask me why, but I've been stressed out majorly the last week or so. But good news on that front! I gave my two weeks notice last night. My last day will be Sept. 6th. While BK has been a good place to work, besides the fact that I didn't get enough hours, I'm ready to leave.

  • School - It's on its way! I've been counting down the days rather anxiously. I miss college life. In that regards about a week ago I got all the book titles I needed for classes and ordered the ones I could find online. They are now starting to trickle in and I'm excited!

  • Movies - I did one of those Five for Five deals and watched movies all week.
Jason and the Argonauts - If you know Greek mythology, you'll love this made for tv movie. It's very well done and tells the story of Jason and the search for the Golden Fleece quite well. Of course they've added things and there's a scene on the Amazon isle where you see a lot of leg and cleavage, but it's pretty mild. I'd reccomend it. Not sure of the rating.

Batman - A pretty fair live action comic video. Yes, they sleep together, but the only thing you see is the girl waking up in the bed. As far as action and plot go, I was pleased. Joker was evil and Batman was the firm judge.

Phenomenon - Just watched this last night and I was impressed! George was a normal man until he gets hit with a bright light. He starts to be able to assimlate information at incredible speeds and has a ton of ideas. I usually don't like John Travolta, but he shines in this movie.

Time Runner Remember Luke? Well, Mark Hamil did make at least one other film... *grins* Earth is being attacked in the future and Rayner escapes the space station and somehow gets thrown back in time 30 years. He discovers when he is and also discovers a plot to kill him. This is R rated for the violence, but it isn't too bad. The cover said something about being sexy, but I didn't see any sex in it. *shrugs* Not the best plot in the world, but there are points in it that are interesting.

Mysterious Island - Jules Verne wrote another story with Captain Nemo in it and the book is awesome. The movie, however has a lot to desire. They made Nemo into a humanitarian and I don't think that was in the book. They also threw some women in there and I don't remember any women in the book.

  • Fitness Center - Yeah I have been actually exercising. This week was the first that I've been able to get all three days in. I'm feeling it too. Feels good, but yeah, it hurts. *grins* Hopefully I'll be able to keep it up in Eugene.

  • Spiritual - Well, I'm still struggling... Having a really hard time sitting down and just sitting in His presence. Steve had an idea which I'm thinking about. we'll see though...

  • Website - I have fixed the links. The entry pictures are all clickable and the links on this page are now another color. Plus, I just uploaded house pictures and put a couple of albums in a Misc. album. Take a look and comment!

I was very happy to finally get enough money to buy shelves for my room. I had a small set of shelves, but that wasn't enough, and I even made a long one going from my desk to the shelves. My brother even let me have some shelves in his room, but I have a lot of books and needed more. So I was able to get the boards cheap at a thriftstore and got the standards yesterday. We then trimmed the boards and I put up the standards. Because of the smell of Goo-off that i used, I had to leave them outside until today.

Unpacking my books was a treat as I saw many that I haven't read in ages. Youth fiction that I'm sure my kids will enjoy. So here's a picture of my desk and shelves:

Jen, here's your post.

Life is going very strange. My emotions and thoughts are all jumbled up and I'm very confused. No, it's not a girl, *smiles* but my struggle with my faith and my life. Things are very strange in my head right now... I'm thinking I'm either at a crossroads or have already chosen. Very strange...

*shrugs* I know I'll get through it, but I'm not sure what's happening now...

God is good! Thank You, Lord for the freedom You've given me. Thank You for breaking the chains and revealing yourself to me once again. I love you sooo much!

Well, I have a few things to do on this web site (like change the links) but that's not going to happen for awhile. I'm taking a break from the computer once I get a couple of things done this morning. It'll probably be a week, bt who knows what God will have me do.
