Okay, I'm still going to make a page about this weekend, but I think I'll hit the highlights...
- Spending 3hours in the car with Grandma H. was a lot of fun. We covered some very interesting topics and I feel like I know her better. It was a great time for us.
- Family from Idaho came up. It's always a treat to see them and to be able to talk to my Great-Aunt and Uncle. My Grandma R. is keeping a foster child - Kayla, 8 - for awhile and brought her up here. Now that was a treat. I got to play with her and just be a big brother to a hurting girl. Apparently she's been abused intensely by her father, so we poured a lot of love into her over the weekend.
- That really made me think a lot about the future and the fact that when I'm married I really would like to take care of kids like Kayla and give them love. Made me think a lot about having kids and getting to be a dad. One of those things that I can't wait for!
- David's Graduation was really good. I got to stand up and talk a little. I covered our make-believe stories and our growing up together. Then I gave him some advice from the experience of two years of college.
- Sunday was a nice day of relaxation and the watching of movies
- Monday was a day of driving and then of homework.
- All in all a very good weekend!
