Sometimes the holidays are the busiest times for online activities, but this season I seem to be the only one on. All the blogs are devoid of posts, the boards are slow... I could try IM, but I've discovered that I don't type all that fast anymore. So, this is a call for my friends to post on their bloggers! Provide me with information and enjoyment! *starts to go into Mad Emperor persona* I command it! My wrath shall be great if no one posts! *starts to cackle*
*cough*
Wait, didn't want to show that side of me quite yet. It's not time for the take over of the world.
I'm sitting here waiting for time to go by. We have a Christmas Eve service in half an hour at church (takes 5 minutes or so to get there) and I don't want to be too early.
Christmas Eve is really when Christmas starts for us. We go to a service, finish up there, return home, get the hot chocolate and candy out, read the Christmas story and then open gifts. Christmas day we wake up, empty our stockings, eat a nice brunch, Mom starts the Turkey and we eat about 4 or so. It's normally a very low key day. I hope to play some games with my father and brother sometime tomorrow. Of course, with Sunday being the next day, that means Dad has to prepare a sermon and since they're doing worship, Mom has to prepare that. I'm thinking it's not going to be as low key as in the past.
I've been helping Dad and his friend, Scott, make swords. Yes, swords, of the wooden kind, but still swords. They have a guy who teaches broadsword fighting who needed practice blades. Scott knew how to make them and they made eight. I got to help out a little bit today. It's a lot of fun to be able to work in the shop. Since I've been in Eugene, I haven't had that sort of opportunity. Back to the swords... They're hoping that once they get their technique down, they can start marketing them. Anyone interested? *grins* I'll have pictures up soon.
Well, Merry Christmas and I shall post again!
