It's the start of a weekend and I am wondering how much school work I will actually get done. this whole thing about working on Saturday is not really working. I used Saturday afternoons for major homework time and I'm missing that time. Sunday afternoons just don't work for homework. So I'm going to have to give up my sleeping in tomorrow and go to the library in the morning to hit the books and try to get my 4-5 single spaced Mark paper that's due on Thurs.

But I did get to practice my tirade speech last night and I gave it today and it was awesome! I actually remembered my points and delivered it well. Don't know if it was worth an 'A' but I know I did better than last term. I'm starting on the research for my current issue speech about mad cow disease and I'm looking forward to giving it. I'm feeling much better about myself now. *grins*

I want to give a shout out to my roommate Josh - He is a rapper and in my opinion is very good. Just recently he got an account at soundclick and you can stream some of his songs. Eventually he'll have lyrics up so click here and enjoy his music. He'd love comments as well.

Title - What Is Love
Artist - Pax217
CD - Engage
Label - Forefront
Year - 2002

hey kid what are you lookin' at
how'd you get so evil so fast
where's your mom, where's your dad
what did they teach you
did they touch you
i can't believe this happened to you
i promise it's not supposed to be this way
but you have no right to repeat the same
she's not yours this ain't a game

step back watch where your hands go
it might do you goo to cut 'em off
better that than to rip her off
you're a thief an abomination
lucky for you i'm no assassin
i love her you distorted her view
God help me not to distort you

so let's just say that your blessed
blessed that i never met you

hey you son of a preacher man
i got some words for you
repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near
you stole somethin' that you can't give back
from the one i love
and now she's forced to pray daily
to fight against your flashbacks

so let's just say you're blessed
blessed that i never met you

hey you, you better take your eyes off of her
your eyes are evil so look away
i'm warnin' you there'll be
hell to pay hell to pay

little girl dont you cry
this boy can't steal whats inside
let my Father hold you up
heal the thoughts that make you throw up
i know this life has been hard on you
but the next will never end
only thing i know to do
is to ask my Father to heal you

no soap will ever scrub away
the memories the memories

hey you, you better take your eyes off of her
your eyes are evil so look away
i'm warnin you there'll be
hell to pay hell to pay

i'm sorry sorry
little girl don't you cry
your beautiful beatuful beautiful
i love you, i love you
Father heal us
won't You hear us
show us Your mercy forever
i love You, i love You

Currently

location - For the 5th time in a row I'm in the computer lab.
listenting to - A song. Not sure what it is, but it's off of Wow 99.
current homework - Well, I have a 4-5 single spaced paper due in two weeks that I need to get started on sometime. Plus a greek test tomorrow. Oh and I have a Tirade Speech outline due in less than a week and then the speech is a week from Friday. So take your pick... (the test, obviously is the most important right now)
doing tomorrow - after classes are done, I have to go to Portland for my appointment with my corneal surgeon for a checkup. Should be interesting, considering we've postponed it for almost a month because of weather. Prayer that I actually get to go would be appreciated.
wishing - "if wishes were fishes..." that I didn't have eye problems.
last physical person I talked to - Cassy.
last book read - Novel - LOTR | Textbook - the NIV commentary on Mark

Good afternoon to you!

I've been thinking about the issue of burning Cds and whether my convictions will let me burn CDs that my friends have. I guess that I've come to the conclusion that burning the whole CD would be wrong and take away from the artist's $$. But I also think that taking a few songs off of the CD isn't that bad. I won't take more than half the CD though.

So, Jen and Chera, while I'd love to have you copy those CDs, my convictions wouldn't accept them. However, if you're interested in making a compliation of some of your favorite songs, I would accept it. *grins*

It's been an interesting weekend. I've run the gamet of emotions from peeved to happy to worshipful to lonely to being happy again. I've been able to work through somethings with some friends and I hope that things will be better now.

Homework was hard to get to this weekend. I wanted to but it didn't happen. Oh well, that's what tonight is for.

So, I'm sitting in the computer lab bored out of my mind.

so, I'm doing nothing.

So, I should grab some homework and do it.

So, tomorrow is a holiday.

So, I'll probably do homework in the morning.

So, this post really doesn't have much content.

So?

I got mail today!!! Two packages. One contained the pair of pants I bought with some Christmas money and the other contained the Extended editon of Fellowship bought with half Christmas money. I was excited!

Just discovered that I can make my half.com wish list public. So since my birthday is the 1st (hint, hint) I figured I'd post it. JC's Half.com Wishlist

Sorry I haven't updated in a long time. I'm back at school and don't have the time or access to update much. Seeing that Samuel updated did motivate me to say a little something...

Something.

*grins*

Okay, I get back from break that saturday and end up making it for a friend's wedding. Just in time too. I was amazed, especially since I forgot that he was getting married. Twas a very cool service and they make an awesome couple.

I found out my grade that day as well... They had the honor roll posted and I was looking from the bottom (3.2) to the top (4.0) and not finding my name. That was kinda weird 'cause I figured a 3.5 at least... But then I saw it... 3.81!!!! Amazed me to no end! I did not think that I'd do that well, but apparently I did. Very strange.

So, yeah, for those of you that I try to email... I don't know when or how I'll get back to you, but I'll really try sometime.

The load, even though I'm only taking 13 credits, is still heavy. Especially Greek. But I think I'm going to be slightly less stressed if I keep focused.

So yeah, talk to ya peoples later!

Okay, I feel like posting about my year now.

Second term of my freshman year was very interesting. It and the spring term were both easier and harder at the same time.
Went to Mexico on a missions trip with friends and an RIer - Liz
Finished Spring term and got to move with my parents immediately after
Dad got a new church
I helped out with what I could do.
Got a job at Burger King the last part of July that lasted up to Sept.
left early for college so that I could visit Liz and her guest Steve.
Started Greek in my first quarter as a Sophomore.
Wondered about my choices
Stopped wondering
Spiritually this year has been up and down, but I feel like I'm actually gaining on this mountain I'm climbing.
Joy
Am excited for my parent's church
Am excited to get more involved in my church in Eugene.

So that's basically last year. I've learning a ton about myself and about my calling and about others. It's been a trying and gratifying experience.

Now it's back to Eugene and back to the grindstone. Registration is Monday and classes start on Tuesday. I hate traveling in snow.

So, the first day in 2004 is almost over... Wonder what the next 364 days are going to be like...
Christmas dinner leftovers are great, especially since it's real ham! Can't wait to eat!
Well, it's getting dark... Can't believe how fast the sun goes down these days...
I just lost a game of Scrabble to my mother. *sniffs* Queen of Scrabble she is.
It's snowing outside, adding more inches to the 6 we already had... Going to be interesting to see how much there is by Saturday when I leave.
It's a month until I turn 21!
I think a good way to burn calories would be to wrestle with three little kids once or more a day. They use your energy!
Well, it's 2004. Going to have to get used to the date change again. I'd write more and I'd write in my journal, but the party plain tuckered me out. (blame the kids). I'll write tomorrow sometime...
