I'm getting tired of waiting for this summer to officially start. I mean, it's been nice to be home and relax for two weeks, but I want to do what I'm signed up to do. I've been playing phone tag the last couple days with the guy who has been scheduling things. He left a message saying that he did have a place for me to stay, but that we needed to discuss details. I called him yesterday and he has yet to call me. I sent him an email and another one today and will call him tomorrow afternoon. If I don't get ahold of him, there are two options - one, hope I get ahold of him on Monday, and two, drive up on Monday and sit in the parking lot of the church. *laughs* I'm sure we'll be making contact in one way or another.
I made a trip down to Wal-Mart today. Needed to rotate my tires and balance 'em (something you're supposed to do regularly and I've done three times since I bought the tires. Ooops.) as well as pick up some prints I made. Mom and Dad had gone driving and hiking on their anniversary and borrowed my digital camera. I uploaded two of their pictures and one of mine to the Walmart site and bought 8x10 prints. Today I picked them up, framed them, and gave Mom one of Dad for a late Mother's Day gift and gave Dad one of Mom for a late Father's Day gift. Then I gave myself one of my nice Sahalie Falls pics. *grins* Those prints turned out quite well and made a good gift.
I put my shelves in my room, but the paint still smells. I'm thinking it needs to stay in the garage for the summer and then it'll be ready for use.
So, my brother just put together a linux machine. It's a pretty cool machine. If I had $1000 I'd buy it. He's selling it on ebay (well, at least when he gets it up on ebay). He put Ubuntu on it and I got to mess with it a little. I think I'd like to put Ubuntu on this laptop. It'll take some doing though and I currently don't have enough storage to dual boot. Thus I'm waiting for some extra fundage to come in for me to buy a 160gb hard drive.
