My feet hurt... I walked ten miles yesterday to and from church. I have some nice blisters to prove it too... It was actually nice to walk. I haven't walked anywhere in a very long time. I'm thinking that if we get the closer apartment, that I may be walking to college more often than not. At least when the weather cooperates. And my feet harden up. I don't need blisters every time I walk.
I talked to the Claim Adjuster (or whatever he is) today. My insurance will cover the other guy totally, but I'm on my own as far as repairing the car goes. I did have one of the pastors at new life say something about helping me out with the repair bill. So I now need to call the Autobody place where my car is currently located at, and get a price for repair. Hopefully it won't be too much. Then I'll need to call Doug at New Life and tell him how much and how much I can afford to pay (which is little). We'll see what he says.
I now have to figure out how to get to church every day. Walking more than once or twice a week is out. My feet can't take that. I'm considering trying to figure out the bus system.
Oh, I bought a notebook to journal with. Covered it in ducttape and wrote my name and number in it. And I've been writing in it. In fact, I want to share something.

Our Fortress
"God is our refuge and our strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefor we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging." Psalm 46:1-3
I've been thinking a lot about natural disasters in the past eight months or so. First the Tsunami hit Asia, then Mt. St. Helens started to rumble, then the earthquakes in southern Oregon and northern California. Plus all the movies about natural disasters. I'll be honest, I have some fear about being caught in one. I'm not equipped to deal with it.
But then I read the above passage, and I think about the fact that though Terra (earth) may crumble, my God is there, and will be my hope and my help in any type of trouble.
