I'm sitting in my dad's recliner with a puring cat on me, listening to the conversation Dad is having with my uncle about straw bale houses. It's a relaxing day after thanksgiving day. I love coming over the mountains and enjoying family time. It's especially nice this time because I'm seeing family that I haven't seen in 3 years. Last night, Bronwyn 6, randomly came up and gave me a hug. My heart melted! I miss spending time with my cousins.

I'm afraid that what happened with the K. cousins (who are 10 years or so older than me) will happen with this group of little cousins. I loved spending time with my big cousins when I was small, but then they grew up and I haven't seen them or had any contact with them in ages. Both of my dad's brothers have kids in the 8 year-old age category and I haven't spent much time with them. I know it's the nature of having this much distance between ages, but it saddens me.

Oh well, at least I see them every so often. I'm going to see the other set during Christmas break! This is the year for seeing little cousins.

I'm working on my Western Thought project today. Writing about the Cathedral at Chatres. Should be cool.
