Written yesterday on my laptop

Friends, fellowship and food... Oh, and furniture! That would be a really good way to describe this weekend. It started out with me doing a little homework on Saturday, finding a loveseat at St. Vincents, buying said loveseat and leaving it there to pick up later. Then Jason came over and we hung out all afternoon. He’s gotten me hooked on Heroscape and so we went looking for expansion packs, talked about modding, and played one game. Then he left.

I was starting back on homework, when Reece walked in. Now he has a truck and I wanted to get the loveseat. So we drove over to the store. Unfortunately the loveseat was in a difficult place to get at and so we said we’d come back the next day. We then ran some errands and returned to the apartment. I had invited my small group over, but only two were able to make it. Thus I went up to the college to get them. As we were having fun, I get a call from Joe – he wants to come over. Reece leaves to get him. Then Ryan G. shows up – to keep Reece company. After Reece and Joe get back, Alicia and Adele show up on their way out to a girl’s night. I think that was the fullest I’ve seen my apartment. Brian showed up later. So we played games and discussed things until 11:30 that night. Not everyone stayed that late, but it was a great night!

Sunday rolls around. We had Friend day at church on it’s fourth anniversary and that started with a potluck. After church I returned home, only to find that Adele, Alicia, Reece and Joe were there. We had Chicken Cordon Bleu (plus a lot of fellowship). Then I go to the Progressive dinner with our church college group.

Started out at Jack and Lisa’s with everyone getting organized into what car they were going in, etc. (apparently Joey was a little late and missed getting to participate. Sorry Joey!). First course was appetizers at Ken and Janene’s. Did you know he won the Golden Glove in Montana, back when he was stationed there? The second course was salad at Dave and Jackie’s. Now I don’t know them very well, but they sure make pretty salads! I would like to get to know them more… The main course was pork roast at Pastor Tony’s. That was fun ‘cause I hadn’t been to their new house (very nice place, I love their dining room and the fireplace!). The last place was Rich and Brenda’s and they treated us with pies. It was a lot of fun all in all. I met several people I didn’t know and had some good conversations. I hope we do it again.

Today has been pretty good. I’m tired though. Reece has been sick and I’ve been fighting something for quite awhile. It’s 8pm right now… I’ll try and do some more homework for an hour and then go to bed.

I’ll post this tomorrow.
