So I'm sitting here watching The Core with my friend Brian. I own it and have watched it several times. I was watching it and was wondering about the science of the movie. I googled it and This guy had some good points. Read it and learn. *grins*
It's interesting how Hollywood has messed with reality. Makes you wonder if any of these movies that are based on "so-called" science have good science in them.
God is good. I was scheduled for eight hours this week, Monday and Tuesday. Well on Monday, one of the electronics people asked me to cover a shift on Thursday, 4 to 10pm. Then I got a call today from one of the other gals. She needed me to cover on Saturday from 7:30am to 3:00pm. I said yes. So I got 13 hours more than I thought. It's great to see how God works. We prayed and God responded. So cool.
I'm a bit nervous, 'cause I haven't had training during peak hours. I figure I'll be on the phone quite a bit. Hopefully I know enough to make it through the next two shifts.
I had my friend Geno over tonight. He's the one who interviewed me (along with another guy) in June. He gave me some pointers on the interview, as well as telling me about ways to sell myself in my resume' and cover letter. Tomorrow morning I'll sit down and rewrite them and he'll proofread for me. I'm happy 'cause even with the ministry leadership class help on resume's I don't have an eye catching one. Geno showed me a lot about that.
I have two reasons for doing this. One is that I need to get a forty hour job with decent pay. I'm happy at Shopko right now, but I will be paying loans off soon and I need the extra dough. The second reason is that I need to have an idea on how to put my ministry resume together for when I send out info in the fall.
It's so interesting how God is working in my life. I got a job, my church is opening up opportunities for me to minister and I'm looking to stay in Eugene at least until June next year. Of course, that could change, but that's all in the future and in God's hands.
If I get a really good job, I might stay in Eugene for awhile. However, it all depends on ministry. I have this itch for ministry now and can't wait to see how God works things out.
Then I have plans for more education in the future. So we shall see where my path leads.
