I just realized I'm becoming my Dad.... David just got up and I started singing one of those annoying (to the sleepy, at least) good morning songs. I used to be annoyed so much when Dad would burst into my room and start singing with this abnormally cheerful voice...

Dad and I decided that you've got his genes!! But even I woke up last week singing, "Good Morning, Mr. Sunshine, What makes you shine so soon?" Those morning songs are some of our special memories of your childhood!!

Hey, my mom does that... and I do too... actually, I think our whole family does it...
Especially "Good Morning" from Singing in the Rain.
My Mom told me that nearly every single thing that she ever said that annoyed her about her parents and that she "would never ever do!!!", she has done. It's inevitable, I suppose. I think, perhaps, that it is one of the ways that God shows His sense of humor. :-)
If it makes you feel any better, I do things that remind me of my parents, too. ;-)
