Yesterday I was feeling rather dim and discouraged. I worked a two hour shift from 6 to 8am, getting up at 4:30, didn't get any chance to catch up on sleep. I had an interview for Sprint's new store at 1;30. I suddenly made a choice. I was going to change my attitude from "sigh, just another interview" to "I am going to sell myself and make a good impression." To do so, I got ready, wore slacks, a nice shirt and shoes, and, for the first time to an interview, a tie. I got there early, was cheerful and outgoing. I answered all the questions and yes, I did sell myself. They asked about church stuff too and I was honest and open about the learning I've been doing. At the end of the interview, they told me that 90% of the interviewees didn't dress right and they liked that I was dressed professionally. They also liked the way I interviewed. I left feeling rather happy, and positive about the impression I made. They were going to call me the next day to tell me yea, or nea.
I worked on a few things that afternoon, started a few apps, but just was tired of filling out my work experience. I went to a prayer meeting that night and was a bit discouraged. However, the course of the night was dealing with attitudes and I surrendered my attitude and my heart and my situation to God. Just felt peace about what was going on.
Worked the two hours this morning and have been slowly cleaning and dinking around waiting for that call from Sprint. He called around 1:15 and told me that the full time job was filled by a girl who had worked for Sprint before, however the part time job, along with the sitting at the curb with a sign was open and they offered it to me. He thinks 30 hours will be normal and at $9 an hour, I can handle that. I accepted!
Yes, I now have a job! Praise the Lord! After 33 applications/resumes and 10 or so interviews I now have a job!
I start on the 23rd, so I still need temp work for next week.
Thank You, Lord. I really appreciate this. Let me shine for You in this new job. Amen.

Hooray for new jobs! God is so good! :-)
Thanks be to God, indeed. I be looking for a job also, but just for summer; I don't exactly need one to be able to eat. Also I have a small tutoring job already, but that isn't going to go very far towards paying for room/board at college.
(I'm to lazy to log in, sorry)
