Revelation 19:11-16

11
I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. 12His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter."[a] He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:
KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.

--
The end is coming, all this vision has passed and terrible things have occurred. Now for victory! And who else bu the "King of Kings and Lord of Lords" (v.16) to lead! It is interesting to note that instead of introducing Him as King and as Lord, He's introduced as Faithful and True. Through all this turmoil and judgment, His name is Faithful and True. He's King and Lord, and that is part of Him, emblazoned, perhaps tatooed on His thigh, and that sovereignty is something that is unescapable. But faithfulness and truth are as much a part of Him as being King, as being Lord over all. This is a characteristic of the God we serve.

So, if He's faithful and true at the end of all things, when life is the toughest, the hardest it'll ever be, then doesn't it stand to reason that right now, He's faithful and true? Our God doesn't change. He's been the same over all these ages. He's faithful despite our seeing family suffer. He's faithful despite our being unemployed and low on funds. He's faithful despite the day to day struggles, despite our weakness, despite our unwillingess to change. "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him and he with Me." Rev 3:20. These circumstances, the pains and sorrows of life can get overwhelming. But He's there. He's waiting. Take His Hand. Let Him have it all.

I love this God! He's just, judging the sins of mankind, but He's also merciful, saving us by His Sacrifice and being Faithful and True.
