Our Lover

Last night I was listening to a song that described Jesus as a dancer, leading us in a dance. I was struck by how much He loves us, how much He is a Lover. Not only is He our Saviour, Redeemer, Judge, but He's also our Lover.

What do lovers do? They spend time together. They get to know each other. They learn the deepest sorrows and the deepest joys of each other. They are physically close, staring into each other's eyes, enveloped by each other. They dance.

Imagine this: Jesus has you in his arms and you're dancing. You don't know how to dance, but He's leading you in the perfect dance. You put your feet on His feet and He's the one moving. Stare into His Eyes and let yourself be carried away by His Love.

We already know the extent of His Love. He died for us, took our sins and flung them away. He's also a romancer, and wants all of us. He's taking his Bride, us, and simply loving us.

I really can't explain the love I'm feeling from Jesus! It's incredible and overwhelming.
